Kado Bar 40k
Back to Home
The Kado Bar 40k is the first vape I figured out how best to extract batteries from. Its really easy! The battery is on the side opposite the screen so do all of your cutting on the screen side. Also the screen isn’t a screen so if you have to cut into it that’s totally fine.
Everything that seems glued together is actually double sided tape. Often running a knife along these seams is totally sufficient to release them.
You will need minimal tools to get at that sweet, sweet battery and it takes very little time to do.

Materials
- Gloves
- Hacksaw
- Knife
- Scissors (optional)
Steps
- Saw along the seam of the bottom cap (from the side with the screen) just until you’ve broken through
- Pry off the end cap using the knife to get it loose and your hand and fully pull it out
- It might feel like you’re breaking stuff when you pull the end cap off but this is fine. There is a piece that you will inevitably bend when you pull this off.
- Pry off both buttons using the knife. Weirdly the buttons often hold the insides in place.
- Remove the inner circuits and stuff
- You might need to run your knife alongside the non-screen edges. Sometimes the circuitry is held in place by double-sided tape.
- Pry out the battery with your fingers probably dont use a knife unless you are very careful!
- Snip the leads near where they attach to the circuit
